Kollagerie — Privacy Policy
English companion to the authoritative German page
datenschutz.html(hosted at kollagerie.de/datenschutz). The German version governs under German law. Reflects the verified code state of v2.33.14 (no data collection, no network permission; optional PLUS in-app purchase via Google Play Billing).
Effective date: 29 June 2026 · Applies to the Android app Kollagerie (de.ib_sedlmeier.kollagerie).
Summary
Kollagerie collects, stores, and transmits no personal data. The app holds no internet permission and therefore cannot technically send any data to us or third parties. It uses no tracking, no analytics, no ads, and bundles no data-collecting third-party SDKs. Your photos and collages stay only on your device. The only external interaction is the optional one-time PLUS purchase, handled entirely by Google Play (see section 4).
1. Controller
The controller under the GDPR is the person named in the legal notice (Impressum): Informatikbüro Sedlmeier, owner Matthias Sedlmeier, Köppelsdorfer Str. 40, 96515 Sonneberg, info@ib-sedlmeier.de.
2. Principle
The app itself collects, stores, or transmits no personal data. All processing happens locally on your device. The following explains what data occurs locally and which single action involves Google Play.
3. Local processing on the device
- Photos/media: You pick images from your gallery to build collages. They are processed only locally and never leave the device; nothing is uploaded. Exported images only contain the static text "Made with Kollagerie – https://www.kollagerie.de" in the image metadata (no personal data).
- Local app settings: technical settings stored only locally (Android SharedPreferences): onboarding state, export preferences (format, transparent background, auto-focus), and a reference to the last saved collage. No personal content, never transmitted, removed on uninstall.
4. In-app purchase "PLUS" via Google Play (the only external interaction)
The app offers an optional one-time purchase ("PLUS"). It is processed entirely via Google Play / Google Play Billing:
- Google is independently responsible for payment and purchase processing (merchant of record) and processes the required data under Google's own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
- The app itself receives no payment data — only whether the purchase succeeded (a purchase token and status) to unlock the PLUS features. This is queried from Google Play per session and not stored by us.
- Recipient / third country: Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC (USA), under Google's safeguards (e.g. EU standard contractual clauses / adequacy decision).
- Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the purchase contract you initiated).
If you make no purchase, this does not occur.
5. Permissions
- Photo/media access (
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, or storage access on older Android versions): solely to insert images you choose and to save exports. - Billing (
com.android.vending.BILLING): solely for the optional PLUS purchase via Google Play. - The app requests no internet or network permission.
6. Retention
Local data remains on your device until you clear the app data or uninstall (see the data-deletion page). We store no data ourselves. Retention of purchase data is Google's responsibility.
7. Your rights (GDPR Art. 15–22)
You generally have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection. As we store no personal data, requests to us have nothing to act on; contact us via the Impressum. Exercise rights regarding Google directly with Google. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
8. No automated decision-making
There is no automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
9. Changes
If future features could process data (e.g. an optional cloud function), this policy will be updated before such a feature is introduced.
