Privacy Policy

As of: 29 June 2026 · Applies to the Android app Kollagerie (de.ib_sedlmeier.kollagerie).

Summary

Kollagerie collects, stores and transmits no personal data. The app has no internet permission and therefore technically cannot send any data to us or third parties. It uses no tracking, no analytics, no advertising and includes no data-collecting third-party SDKs. Your photos and collages remain exclusively local on your device. The only external interaction is the optional one-time purchase “PLUS”, which is handled entirely via Google Play (see section 4).

1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is the person named in the Imprint: Informatikbüro Sedlmeier, owner Matthias Sedlmeier, Köppelsdorfer Str. 40, 96515 Sonneberg, info@ib-sedlmeier.de.

2. Principle

The app itself collects, stores or transmits no personal data. The app processes data exclusively locally on your device. The following describes transparently which data arises locally and which single operation involves Google Play.

3. Local processing on the device

a) Photos and media

You select images from your gallery to create collages. These are processed only locally and do not leave the device; no upload takes place. You save finished collages locally in your gallery or share them via an app of your choice — such sharing is triggered solely by you. Exported images contain only the static note “Made with Kollagerie” in the image metadata (no personal reference).

Legal basis (insofar as any personal reference arises at all): Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (provision of the app function you requested). No data transmission takes place.

b) Local app settings

The app stores technical settings exclusively locally on the device (Android “SharedPreferences”): onboarding status, export presets (format, transparent background, auto-focus) and the reference to the most recently saved collage. This data contains no personal content, is not transmitted and is deleted upon uninstallation.

4. In-app purchase “PLUS” via Google Play (the only external operation)

The app offers an optional, one-time purchase (“PLUS”) to unlock additional features. Payment is handled entirely via Google Play / Google Play Billing. The following applies:

  • Google is independently responsible for payment and purchase processing (Merchant of Record). Google processes the necessary data under Google’s own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
  • The app itself receives no payment data. From Google Play it only receives the information whether the purchase was made (a purchase identifier / “purchase token” and the purchase status) in order to unlock the PLUS features. This information is queried from Google Play per session and is not permanently stored by us.
  • Recipient / third country: Google Ireland Limited or Google LLC (USA). Any third-country transfer takes place under the safeguards provided by Google (including EU standard contractual clauses / adequacy decision).
  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the purchase contract initiated by you).

If you do not trigger a purchase, this operation does not take place.

5. App permissions

  • Access to photos/media (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES; on older Android versions storage access): solely to insert images you select and to save exports.
  • Billing (com.android.vending.BILLING): solely for the optional PLUS purchase via Google Play (section 4).
  • The app requests no internet or network permission.

6. Retention period

Local data remains on your device until you clear the app data or uninstall (see Data deletion). We ourselves store no data, as none is transmitted to us. Google is responsible for retaining purchase data under its own rules.

7. Your rights (Art. 15–22 GDPR)

You generally have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. As we ourselves store no personal data, requests directed to us are effectively moot; for enquiries you can reach us via the contact details in the Imprint. Please exercise rights vis-à-vis Google directly with Google.

8. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your residence or of the alleged infringement.

9. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, takes place.

10. Changes

In the case of functional extensions that could process data in the future (e.g. an optional cloud function), this policy will be adapted accordingly before their introduction.
